Employee Business Travel Management [ Automotive ]
Rapid growth in business of an automotive company meant increased business travel both domestic and foreign. To effectively administer and facilitate the travel of the employees, organization decided to put in place comprehensive travel management system using Augment's BPM framework. The web based organization travel portal helped employees manage both pre-travel and post-travel formalities in a self-service model. The business driven workflow engine of Augment helped streamline the process end to end. The pre-travel process would start at submission of travel request to the superior with details like itinerary, duration, mode of travel, project the travel is linked to, estimated expenses etc. Once the travel program is approved after validation against the budgets and entitlements, the travel request is sent to the travel desk, which makes the necessary travel arrangements. The system manages both domestic and foreign travel with specific requirements like foreign currency, VISA, Passport etc. The post-travel module helps employees write the tour report and submit tour claims for reimbursement.
